Comments from our PastorGreetings in the name of our Lord, God continues to amaze us with His power and His blessings at Hope Evangelical Free Church of College Station. God has answered our prayer for a Youth Director for our church. Caleb Milne has been called as our new youth coordinator. Caleb is a student at Blinn College and brings a wealth of experience working with youth and volunteering with various projects to help those in need. He has been on a mission trip to work with youth in the Dominican Republic. He has a passion for young people and desires to have the opportunity to help God and parents build lives on a solid foundation of the word of God. Most of all, Caleb is a solid, committed Christian who takes his faith seriously, has a contagious personality, and is full of energy. We are so blessed to have him working with our youth! Our youth love Caleb! Also, our sincere thanks go out to Director Michael Horcica and all the staff who worked so diligently to make the Texas-Oklahoma EFCA District Camp at Twin Oaks Ranch in Buda a success. We want to praise God for all the young people who came to camp, but especially for those who made life changing decisions for Christ. Our church hosted this camp with people from our church serving in drama, teaching, counseling, cooking, life guarding, nursing, media, games, and helping with memory verse and crafts. We praise God for several other churches for sending musicians and counselors to join us in God’s kingdom work. We pray that God was glorified and that Jesus was exalted! Check out photos at the EFCA-Camp on Facebook. Our men will begin a new Bible Study called “Courageous” on Friday, July 1st at 6:00 a.m. Breakfast will be serve each Friday morning. Men, come join us! Now our next major youth project will be Vacation Bible School which will be held August 1-5. This event is called Hometown Nazareth: Where Jesus Was A Kid and will be directed by Denise Vajdak. So watch our website and Facebook page for special events with Caleb and for more information concerning VBS. May each of you have a blessed summer as you travel on vacation or to family reunions! Yours in Christ, |
